Discussion Questions
What are you thankful for when you think about Lighthouse? As Lighthouse enters its sixth year, what kind of church do you pray we will become? What part can you play in that?
What does it mean that Jesus loved His disciples “to the end” (Jn. 13:1)? Why must we receive Christ’s love before we can love others as He commands?
What does washing the disciples’ feet reveal about the character of Jesus’ love? What would it look like for you to “pick up the towel” in your home, school, workplace, or church?
Why is love among believers such a powerful testimony to the reality of Jesus? If someone observed the way you relate to people in this church, what would they conclude about Jesus?
Questions for Youth: Do you ever feel that Jesus would love you more if you were a better Christian? What does this passage say to that fear? What is one way you can “pick up the towel” this week for those around you?

Accept One Another | Romans 15:1-7
Reflection Questions
What does it mean to “bear with the failings of the weak”? When another Christian holds a different conviction, are you more likely to dismiss them, judge them, or patiently listen? Is there a freedom or right you may need to limit for the spiritual good of someone else?
What does Paul mean when he says that Christ “did not please Himself”? When loving someone becomes costly, what comfort or freedom are you most tempted to protect – time, money, comfort? What would following Christ’s self-giving way look like in one specific relationship this week?
What is the difference between unity and uniformity? Do you tend to build relationships only with people who share your culture, age, personality, or stage of life? What makes crossing those boundaries difficult? What practical step could you take to welcome someone different from you into your life?
Questions for Youth: How does remembering the patience and grace Jesus has shown you change the way you treat someone who frustrates you? What is one practical way you can help make Anchor or Lighthouse a place where people feel genuinely welcomed?
