Deacon Election | Nomination period
As we prepare for our upcoming deacon election, please pray for God’s wisdom and guidance in this season of discernment. Pray that He would raise up men and women who are committed to serving Christ and His church with godly character, integrity and faithfulness.
Nominations will be open from September 6–20.
Before the nomination period begins, we encourage everyone to take time to pray and reflect on the biblical qualifications for those who serve as deacons.

Reflection Questions
What is significant about all the brothers tearing their clothes and returning to the city with Benjamin? Where might God be calling you to respond differently than you have before?
How does the repeated Hebrew word for “found” or “uncovered” connect the search for the cup with the brothers’ hidden guilt? Have you ever admitted that you did something wrong while still trying to excuse, minimize, or justify it? What would it look like for you to stop defending yourself and come before God in genuine repentance?
How does Judah’s offer demonstrate the transformation that had taken place within him? Who might God be calling you to serve, protect, forgive, or remain beside this week even when doing so is costly? How could Christ’s substitutionary love reshape the way we love and sacrifice for others?
