Genesis: The Unfolding of God’s Revelational History
The Book of Genesis tells the story of a God who created everything out of nothing in order to bless His people and glorify Himself. In this book, we will encounter a God who speaks the cosmos into existence, forms humanity with care, and gives us the gift of His image. Yet, we will also witness the tragic fall of humanity and the devastating consequences of sin; but, even amidst the brokenness, Genesis shines with hope as God's faithfulness to His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, points forward to His ultimate plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. Then join us as we explore this remarkable book – and let us ask God to open our hearts and minds so that we will come to see that God is at work in our lives, unfolding His perfect plan as He did in creation.
Providence in Pain
The Book of Ruth is about the providence of God – how God’s hidden hand moves in our lives to bring all things together for His glory and the good of His people. Then no matter what circumstance you may be in today, I invite you to trust Him and count your blessings for this will guard your heart.
The Two Lost Sons
Whether you identify as the younger brother who has gone astray or the older brother who remains distant from God, this story is for you – it’s an invitation to return to the Father who is merciful and gracious toward you. Then my prayer for you is that you’ll come and experience His extravagant love for you today.
Giving that Honours God
The gospel inspires us to give because that’s what Jesus did for us – He became poor so that we might become rich in Him. Then knowing that our God will continue to meet all our needs according to His riches, let’s give generously and joyfully for it will advance the gospel, bless us, and glorify the Giver of all things.
The Secret of Contentment
True contentment does not come from circumstances but through Christ – He alone is the ground of our contentment but also the source of power that will make this possible. Then let’s make every effort to learn to be content in Christ knowing that this is how we can rise above our circumstances.
Standing Firm in the Lord Pt. 2
If we want to press on, we must first stand firm in the Lord by thinking about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable – and putting them into practice. Then let’s do just that this week for when we do this, it’s promised that the God of peace will be with us to lift us, encourage us, and carry us when we fall.
Standing Firm in the Lord Pt. 1
If we want to press on, we must first stand firm in the Lord by having the same mind in the Lord, rejoicing in the Lord, and presenting our requests to the Lord. Then let’s do just that for when we do this, the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
The Lord of the Harvest
The Lord of the harvest reminds us that the harvest is plentiful, but that the workers are few. Then my prayer for you is that your hearts will be broken for what breaks His because compassion will drive you to pray earnestly, go courageously, and proclaim the gospel faithfully wherever God sends you.
Pressing on Toward the Goal
We must learn to press on to take hold of Christ because Christ first took hold of us. Then as citizens of the Kingdom of God, may we run in such a way so that we would win the prize that God has prepared for us in Christ Jesus.
The Surpassing Worth of Knowing Christ
A Christian is someone who boasts in Christ, treasures Christ, and desires to know Christ more. May this be the description of all of us – to be a people who consider everything a loss for the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus.
Servants Worthy of Honour
Timothy, Epaphroditus, and Paul were living examples of what it means to live a life worthy of the gospel. They were men of compassion, consistency, commitment, and cooperation. Then let’s strive to emulate them so that our lives would bring glory to God and joy to others.
Faith: The Foundation of Our Confidence
Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. May God strengthen our faith so that we will persevere in all circumstances and not give up. May we continue to fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith so that we would live a life that is commendable by God our Father.
Love: The Greatest Thing
Love is the greatest thing because it never fails. Then to give this kind of love, let’s soak ourselves in the love of God in Christ. He will make this possible.
God’s Design For His Church
The Bible clearly teaches that men and women were created equal in value but different in roles. Even though this has been distorted by sin, Christ restored it – making it possible for us to be the people that God desires us to be. Then let’s embark on this journey of rediscovering God’s design for our lives and work together to advance the gospel for this is the call that we have received as a church
I Am the Resurrection and the Life
Jesus Christ is the Resurrection and the Life. In Him, everything sad becomes untrue and the stench of death turns into the aroma of life. Then let’s offer up worship that is fit for our Savior knowing that victory is ours through our Lord Jesus Christ.
I Am the Good Shepherd
Jesus Christ is our Good Shepherd who knows us completely, gives Himself willingly, and seeks out the lost passionately. Are you one of His sheep? Let’s worship and rest in His grace. Do you want to be part of His flock? Offer yourself to Him today because, in Him, you’ll find life and life to the full.
Biblical Complementarianism
The Bible clearly teaches that men and women were created with equal dignity but with different roles. Even though this has been distorted by sin, Christ restored it – making it possible for us to be the people that God desires us to be. Then let’s embark on this journey to rediscover God’s design for our lives for His glory.
Biblical Womanhood
A woman of God is someone who cultivates with care, speaks with wisdom, and fears the Lord with reverence. Then let’s encourage our women to be on a journey to grow in their commitment to these things so that God would be glorified and the people around us would flourish.
Biblical Manhood
Biblical manhood is marked by his commitment to God-honoring labor, God-given law, and God-ordained leadership. Then let’s encourage our men to be on a journey to grow in their commitment to these things so that God would be glorified and the people around us would flourish.
Living in Light of the Gospel
In light of what Christ accomplished for us on the cross, we’re now called to work out our salvation with fear and trembling in all aspects of our lives – specifically by doing all things without grumbling and arguing. Then let’s do just that knowing that God is already working in us to make this possible.
The Humility of Christ
The height of Christ’s glory models for us the life of humility, the depth of His condescension enables and empowers us to live humbly, and the magnitude of His exaltation shows us that the path of humility is the path to true greatness. Then let us aim to have the same mindset as Christ in our relationships with one another.
